When is a trading card more than a trading card?

At AYPToday we are always looking for new ways to improve the way we can serve you our clients, our bidders and our guests to the website.  We take this obligation very seriously.  Let me take a moment to highlight one such opportunity involving trading cards.

As you know, if you have been following our progress, we have had sports trading cards several times in different auctions in the past.  It has been difficult to show each card and the condition.  Two important factors in determining value, price and condition.

I have commented about some wonderful cards in a past blog November,19  2013.  I trust that those who won those items were very happy.  But now we have a brand new method that let’s us show the front and back of every card.

Unfortunately, we do not have the space to describe every card, but now you will be able to see the front and back of each card through a link on the item description.  While this is not a substitute for attending our previews, it will let you personally see each card at “face value.”

This current auction features a large grouping of NFL Football Trading cards from Fleer and Topps from the sixties.  The backs of these cards are just as enjoyable as the fronts.  It is like stepping back in time.  Now you can enjoy these cards as much as we do. The backs of these cards display statistics, history, questions, answers and delightful illustrations.  Please see items 142-146.

There are many reasons for collecting cards and I will leave it to the experts to help you determine what the value of each card should be.  In this auction we have the help of several issues of Tuff Stuff Magazines. There are many delightful articles in these issues.  Please see items 82 and 83.

Whether you collect for the sport, the year, or even the mustaches of the athletes we hope you will enjoy this latest incredible new way to view our trading cards.

Happy bidding!

Liz
